Yeah, Martin is awesome! Sucks that they killed him off, though. I hate the Mythic Dawn to the point that in Skyrim I always kill Sylus. My Crusader was so distraught over his death that she disappeared into the Shivering Isles and became a lesbian (she had a bit of a crush on Martin. Poor Eira!)
